The Proud Black Girl Conference is driven by a singular mission: to affirm and uplift young Black women, ages 17-21, by showing them they are deeply loved, valued, and supported. We acknowledge the distinct challenges and victories that accompany the experience of growing up as a Black girl in today’s society. This conference is dedicated to creating a nurturing space where attendees can feel truly seen, heard, and celebrated.
Star’s Personal Connection to the Conference
As the mother of an 18-year-old daughter and having once navigated this age myself, I have a deep understanding of the obstacles young women face today. These personal experiences have been the catalyst for the Proud Black Girl Conference, which is designed to empower young Black women to flourish and succeed.
